Intelligence at the service of performance
MAT: The First AI Mental Trainer for Athlete Training
MAT — Mental Athletic Trainer — is the artificial intelligence developed by Sport Psychology Center to accompany the athlete on their mental growth journey. After first getting to know the athlete through ten targeted questions, MAT builds a personalized mental training plan, downloadable as a PDF. In subsequent follow-ups, it checks in with the athlete: tracking their mood at every session with a chart of their progress over time, keeping up with their Experience results if they use them, remembering previous sessions, and helping them review the work they've done.
What MAT talks about with athletes
MAT is trained in the scientific literature on sports psychology and can address any aspect of mental training with athletes: from managing pre-competition anxiety to concentration techniques, from post-injury mental recovery to building resilience. Here are some examples of requests:
The science behind MAT
MAT integrates established principles of cognitive-behavioral psychology (CBT), mindfulness applied to sport, mental toughness theory, and the latest research in sports neuroscience. The advice is not generic: it is adapted to the athlete's context, the sport they practice, and the specific challenges they face.
A path built together with the athlete
At the first session, MAT gets to know the athlete through ten targeted questions, from which it builds a personalized mental training plan, downloadable as a PDF.
It thus transforms into a complete AI mental trainer that takes care of the athlete's mental growth path.
In the follow-ups that come after, MAT tracks the athlete's mood at every session, generating a chart of their progress over time, keeps up with their Experience results if they use them, remembers previous sessions, and helps them review the work done, discussing every aspect of their mental training with them.
To use MAT, all you need to do is sign up for the platform: access is currently free, just like the self-assessments.
